Caller claimed to be calling from ‘Facts International’ who are a market research company.
01233648477 called claiming to be from “the bank”.
Was called 17th January 2012 at about 8.30 by this number. A well spoken girl who sounded businesslike gave me a name. The tone made me suspect a cold selling call when I was asked for by name so I asked ” Who wants to know?” “it’s her bank calling”. “Not at this time of night, it’s not!” and I hung up. Reported to Nuisance call Bureau and to police. Obviously some sort of scam. BEWARE. Banks do NOT cold call! Odd that one was able to get the number by dialling 1471 in the circumstances.
I just got a call, they said they were from the Royal Bank of Scotland and wanted to know what they thought of my recent visit to the bank. Thought it odd as I haven’t been in the bank for Yonks!
This number called my old parents saying they were from the bank,they asked for bank details,when questioned how they wanted details of bank numbers,they hung up,my mum phoned RBS & was told no one from them had called using that phone number.
